Does the ROG Phone 3 have a headphone jack?

No, the ROG Phone 3 does not have a  headphone jack.

The ROG Phone 3 does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. However, in the box ASUS does provide a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter and also the included air cooler accessory also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Given there are two USB-C ports on the ROG Phone 3, there isn’t a major issue.

ASUS did give the reasoning behind this controversial move. It simply came down to space inside the device which became more crowded thanks to the 5G technology. It was likely a painful decision but ASUS wasn’t willing to put in a smaller battery vs. putting the 3.5mm headphone jack on the ROG Phone 3.

A headphone jack might seem like an obvious choice for a gaming phone but there must be a compelling reason for ASUS to remove it. No question this will ruffle the feathers of hardcore gamers out there.

Below you can see the extra USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack on the air cooler accessory that is included in the ROG Phone 3 box.

Misleading information about existence of headphone jack prior to launch event:

There was a period of time leading up to the ROG Phone 3 release when it was speculated that ASUS kept the headphone jack. You can see from the PriceBaba renders released just days prior to the official ROG Phone 3 release event, everyone was misled. Clearly you cannot trust everything that shows up on the internet. Annoying to see a so-called credible website being so irresponsible with their renders. Everyone was duped!
